You can unregister a pair from the Stitchdown Patina Thunderdome yourself in the app. The app calls this Withdraw. Use it to remove a pair you entered by mistake, or to swap in a different pair.

Before you start

  • Update the app. Close the Patina Project app fully and reopen it to get the latest version.

  • Withdraw before registration closes. For the 2026-27 Domes, registration closes on November 10. After that, the pair stays in the contest.

Unregister your pair

  1. Open the pair you want to take out of the contest.

  2. Tap the pencil icon at the top to edit it.

  3. Scroll down to the Contest section. Each contest the pair is in shows how many days you have left to withdraw.

  4. Tap Withdraw next to the contest you want to leave.

  5. Tap Withdraw again to confirm.

You'll see Successfully withdrawn. Tap Register again to enter a different pair, or tap Done.

What happens to your photos

The pair and its photos stay on your profile. Photos you already submitted no longer count toward the contest.

Swap to a different pair

Withdraw the old pair, then register the new one. You can also register the new pair first. See Register a pair for the Stitchdown Patina Thunderdome.

You can register a withdrawn pair in the same contest again while registration is open.

Common issues

  • No Withdraw button. Close and reopen the app to update it.

  • The row shows Registration closed. Registration for that contest has ended, so you can't withdraw the pair. If you think that's wrong, email ted@patinaproject.com.
